Gartner offers a variety of services to our high technology and telecom provider (aka vendor) clients. One element of those services is called Customer Insights. We mine the data to understand end user client inquiry trends. At this point, we can analyze the data at the overall HCM level (it is very interesting to see the cuts by industry, company size, and more). In preparation for an inquiry with a Gartner Invest client today, I went through my own detailed inquiry data to see what was happening at the next level of detail in HCM (for example, Core HRMS, Talent Management, Workforce Management, etc.) during Q408. I will offer one small nugget in this post from looking at this data. When I have looked at this in the past, Talent Management was definitely the dominant interest area for our clients. In Q408, it was still a major area of focus, but clients definitely had an increased focus on core HRMS and Workforce Management.
